D.F. SEEDS INC. supports and will enforce alone or in conjunction with its Technology provider, the patent protection of its traditional and food grade variety soybean lines. This includes Monsanto’s Roundup Ready®, Genuity® Roundup 2 Yield ® and Vistive®, as well as technology owned by Schillinger Seeds, Inc., DF 155, Iowa State, and Zeeland Farm Services, Inc. The large investment in soybean variety development and the investment they have made must be protected in order to justify continued research spending. Seeds containing the Roundup Ready® trait or the Genuity®Roundup Ready 2 Yield®trait are protected under numerous United States patents, including Patent No. RE39,247. It is unlawful to save Roundup Ready® Soybeans, Genuity®Roundup Ready 2 Yield® Soybeans or LibertyLink® Soybeans for planting or transfer to others for use as planting seed.

Monsanto products are commercialized in accordance with ETS Product Launch Stewardship Guidance, and in compliance with Monsanto’s Policy for Commercialization of Biotechnology-Derived Plant Products in Commodity Crops. This product has been approved for import into key export markets with functioning regulatory systems. Any crop or material produced from this product can only be exported to, or used, processed or sold in countries where all necessary regulatory approvals have been granted.
